Commercial Coffee Brewers with Warmers

Author: Mrs. Coffee

Commercial coffee makers for your office do not have to cost a lot of money. The pourover coffee brewers are very similar to the best quality home brewer, but the big difference is how long it will last with office use. The Grindmaster commercial model BL-2P has an extra warmer to keep coffee warm and ready to serve. A second pot for decaf can be made and left on the burner under the brewer to remain warm or the decaf can be on top and the regular under the brewer. Colored handles will tell which coffee is in each pot so the drinker will get the drink they want. If the coffee drinkers want tea water or a specific type or specific flavor of coffee, the colored handles relay that message as well.

Each warmer of the brewer, whether you have a 2 or a 3 warmer unit, has an individual lighted warmer switch to indicate when it is "on." Having three warmers is great for a larger office where coffee is consumed at a faster rate. Three warmers also offer a larger variety of possible types or flavors of hot drinks. Tea, coffee and decaf coffee could be one choice or regular coffee, decaf coffee and a flavored coffee could be another choice that would keep all three of them warm.

Commercial pourover brewers have an attractive appearance that is styled to complement any décor as well as having a space-saving design. The Grindmaster 2 warmer brewer is 17-3/4" high by 8-1/2" wide by 16-1/2" deep. On this brewer the decanter sits in back on the top of the brewer while the half-gallon reservoir opening is in front for easy filling. Talking about filling the reservoir, be sure to fill the reservoir with three (3) decanters full of water before plugging it for the first time. If it seems to leak the first time; it is okay and will not do it again.

Commercial pourover brewers are constructed of stainless steel. This makes cleaning the outside surface quick and easy. A damp cloth will clean all the surfaces and heating plates of the brewer. The plastic filter basket can be washed in the top shelf of a dishwasher; however, rinsing it well in a sink should be sufficient. If it needs further cleaning, use soapy water to clean it and then rinse it well with cold water.

There are other office brewers like the Bunn with preheated water, but they do come with additional warmers. And there are digital programmable brewers like this one, but they do cost around twice as much. For the money, the Grindmaster single brewer with two or three warmer plates does offer a better commercial product for a mid-sized office that wants more than one kind of coffee or more than just coffee.

A Variety of Coffees at the Touch of a Button

Author: Justin Smith

Are you looking for a classic cup of coffee like a ristretto or a café crème or even an espresso? You don't need to think longingly of the good old days when you went down to your favorite café and they knew just what you wanted. Jura coffee machines provide you with all the options you desire. Even if one day you want a chic cappuccino and the next day a latte and the day after that an Americano, you simply need to push a button and each day you get a different kind of coffee with Jura coffee machines.

On the other hand, a cappuccino coffee machine will give an option of having a hot chocolate instead of coffee if that is what you want. There are several kinds of cappuccino coffee machines . The single canister type will allow you to brew only a black coffee or a hot chocolate. For adding milk to get lattes, cappuccinos or ordinary white coffees, there need to be at least two canisters. The ones which have up to four canisters will offer an option of as many as eight different kinds of drinks, including decaffeinated coffee. All these models use instant products which only need to add boiling water to be ready to serve. In situations where large volumes of hot drinks need to be dispensed over a small period of time, such a model provides yeoman service.

Some models of a cappuccino coffee machine will allow you to use pre-ground and/or fresh ground coffee beans and fresh milk, which is stored in a refrigerated container attached to the machine. Others will use a combination of instant products and ground coffee beans. Ideally all these models should be connected to the drinking water mains. The smaller models can be tank fed, but then one needs to be wary of allowing the water to finish before refilling.

Whether you use Jura coffee machines or cappuccino coffee machines , they will know how to satisfy even the most sophisticated coffee request from customers, guests and employees with total simplicity. Kenco vending offer every variety of vending machine and their accessories.

Health Benefits of Coffee

Author: msquare

Fresh Coffee contains caffeine in it which acts as a stimulant. For this reason, it is often consumed in the morning and when feeling tired. Students preparing for examinations with late-night cram sessions frequently use coffee to stay awake. Many office workers take a coffee break when they have low energy. Coffee gives a boost in our metabolism which increases energy level in our body. The stimulant effect also improves brain function. Studies shows that on average people who drank 2 cups of coffee showed better in cognitive ability and had increase in memory recall.

When coffee is consumed in moderate amount, it has many health benefits. But it should always kept in mind that the consumption amount of coffee should exceed certain limit.
Coffee contains serveral compounds which are known to affect human body chemistry. Some of the health benefits are known to the world after research.

Among Women:In women, coffee consumption significantly decreases all-cause mortality, apparently decreasing somewhat linearly to a relative risk of approximately 0.85 for those drinking 3 cups per day compared to those who consume no coffee, but the relative risk then remains almost the same for up to 6 cups per day, according to a large prospective study.

Alzheimer's disease and Dementia :Studies comparing moderate coffee drinkers (defined as 3-4 cups per day) with light coffee drinkers (defined as 0-2 cups per day) found that those who drank more coffee were significantly less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease later in life.

Gallstone :Drinking caffeinated coffee has been correlated with a lower incidence of gallstones and gallbladder disease. A recent study showed that roast coffee protected primary neuronal cells against hydrogen peroxide-induced cell death.

Cognitive performance :Many people drink coffee for its ability to increase short term recall.Another study found that women over the age of 80 performed significantly better on cognitive tests if they had regularly drunk coffee over their lifetimes.

Antidiabetic :Coffee intake may reduce one's risk of diabetes mellitus type 2 by up to half.
Liver protection :Coffee can also reduce the incidence of cirrhosis of the liver and has been linked to a reduced risk of hepatocellular carcinoma, a primary liver cancer that usually arises in patients with preexisting cirrhosis.

Cancer :Coffee consumption is also correlated to a reduced risk of oral, esophageal, and pharyngeal cancer. In ovarian cancer, no benefit was found.

Cardioprotective :Coffee moderately reduces the incidence of dying from cardiovascular disease, according to a large prospective cohort study.

Antioxidant :Coffee contains the anticancer compound methylpyridinium. This compound is not present in significant amounts in other food materials. Methylpyridinium is not present in raw coffee beans but is formed during the roasting process from trigonelline, which is common in raw coffee beans. It is present in both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee, and even in instant coffee. A recent study shows that roast coffee contains more lipophilic antioxidants and chlorogenic acid lactones and are more protective against hydrogen peroxide-induced cell death in primary neuronal cells than green coffee.

Prevention of dental cariesThe tannins in coffee may reduce the cariogenic potential of foods. In vitro experiments have shown that these polyphenolic compounds may interfere with glucosyltransferase activity of mutans streptococci, which may reduce plaque formation.
The above source is from : wikipedia
Even though there are many benefits of coffee, there are also risks in high consumption of coffee. Coffee may react different in different people. So everything should be consumed moderately to get the health benefits and should be avoided if any side effects are seen in the body.

For best filter coffee use Leo coffee. Fresh ground coffee with soothing aroma can be got from retail outlets of Leocoffee.

Health benefits of coffee go far beyond waking up in the morning

coffee good for youThe average American drank 416 8-ounce cups of coffee in 2009, according to the World Resources Institute. Most people drink coffee for the jolt, but there’s a lot more to coffee than caffeine. More than 18,000 studies on coffee’s health benefits have been published in the last 20 years. Perhaps the most important fact about coffee is that the brew is the number one source of antioxidants in the U.S. diet. Green coffee beans pack about 1,000 different antioxidants. Roasting the beans adds about 300 more.

Antioxidants in coffee

The vast majority of coffee studies have shown a solid benefit related to prevention of diabetes. In fact, coffee has two different types of antioxidants linked to diabetes prevention: polyphenols and chorogenic acid. Iron stored in the body increases the risk of diabetes, and the polyphenol antioxidants in coffee inhibit iron absorption. The chorgenic acid in coffee slows the release of glucose into the bloodstream after a meal and boosts cellular sensitivity to insulin, which helps the body regulate blood sugar.

Coffee, heart attacks and stroke

The health benefits of coffee also include reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke. All those antioxidants may help suppress the damaging effect of inflammation on arteries. In a study of about 130,000 Kaiser Permanente health plan members, moderate coffee drinkers, (1-3 cups a day) were 20 percent less likely to be hospitalized for abnormal heart rhythms–a key heart attack and stroke risk factor, than non-coffee drinkers. In 2009, a study of 83,700 nurses enrolled in the long-term Nurses’ Health Study showed a 20 percent lower risk of stroke in those who reported drinking two or more cups of coffee daily, compared to women who drank less coffee or none. In both the above studies, the results were consistent regardless of whether the participants had high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels or type 2 diabetes.

Coffee, dementia and Parkinson’s

Coffee clears the cobwebs, but it can also reduce risk of dementia, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. The antioxidants in coffee help prevent brain cell damage and keep neurotransmitters that are involved in cognition healthy. A 2009 coffee study in Finland and Sweden tracked 1,400 people for 20 years. Researchers found that those who drank 3-5 cups of coffee a day reduced their risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s 65 percent over occasional coffee drinkers or those who didn’t drink coffee at all. Higher coffee consumption has also been consistently associated with decreased risk of Parkinson’s, although exactly why hasn’t yet been found.

Good coffee is good for you

Coffee is good for you—unless its bad coffee. Some people get indigestion or heartburn from drinking coffee. Another study suggests drinking bad coffee causes that problem. Researchers at the Technical University of Munich, sought to identify the stomach irritant in coffee. They found that caffeine, along with some other compounds, can stimulate production of hydrochloric acid in the gut. But the effect is worse with weak coffee. Rich, darker roasted coffee has compounds that actually inhibit stomach cells from producing hydrochloric acid. The longer coffee is roasted, the more gut-friendly it is.

Sometimes coffee can keep you awake at night . And drinking it unfiltered, such as coffee made with a French press, can elevate bad LDL cholesterol.  But in moderation—about three cups a day–coffee is good for you. Just make sure its good coffee.

Types of Coffee to Choose From

A lot of people have made drinking coffee a very basic part of their lives.  To some, they really need a cup in order to start their days.  There are so many types of coffee that you can find.  However, there are those people that aren’t at all willing to explore different boundaries once they’ve found a flavor to call their own.  This is a very common way of thinking, but you’ve got to realize that you’ll be missing out on a lot of great flavors if you choose to stick to only one type of coffee.

Types of Coffee

Different countries in the world produce different types of coffee for the rest of the world to consume.  It may be that the coffee is renamed after its export from its originating country that you won’t exactly know what type of coffee you are drinking.  There are two general types of coffee namely the Arabica Coffee and the Robusta Coffee.  Robusta Coffee is the cheaper type of coffee among the two.  It makes up around 20% of the world’s coffee and it is less flavorful compared to the Arabica coffee but with a higher amount of caffeine.  Arabica Coffee on the other hand is more expensive but gives a better flavor compared to the first one.  The beans are especially cared for during the process of its growing, harvesting and roasting.  The end product of Arabica coffee beans give off a very delicate flavor that a lot of people love.

Of course, you’ll also have the popular sub types of coffee around the world and you’ll be able experience different flavors, strength, and aroma of these coffees.

Colombian Coffee

Colombian coffee has been considered to be one of the best types of coffee around.  It is a type of coffee that has a good strength of flavor and aroma to it.  To some people, Colombian coffee can taste bitter while some love the strength in its flavor.

Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee

Another popular type of coffee would be the Jamaican blue mountain.  This type of coffee has a mild flavor to it so you really won’t notice much bitterness to it as opposed to the Colombian coffee.  This type of coffee has one of the most exquisite flavors around and you could even opt for the regularly brewed Jamaican blue mountain Coffee.

Aloha Island Coffee Pods

This type of coffee comes from Hawaii and there are several other variations of Kona, which is the name of the coffee beans used for this.  Coffees that use this type of bean have a very mild flavor to it with low levels of acidity.

Kopi Luwak

Kopi Luwak has been by far the most expensive type of coffee around.  The thing that makes these beans so special is how it gets its flavor.  Asian Palm Civits are cats that love these beans.  They chew them up, swallow them, digest, and eventually dump them out.  The coffee beans get their very distinct flavor during this process and the result is a very exquisite coffee that you’ll definitely love if you can afford it.

There are different types of coffees around and sticking to only one flavor isn’t at all the best idea since you’ll most likely miss out on all the good ones.  Also, note that there are also different ways to prepare coffee which further give them different tastes.  Some of the most common prepared coffees are espresso, cappuccino, and latte, each with their own texture, strength, and aroma.

The Truth Behind Coffee creamers

Cup of Joe

As I was grabbing for my second cup of coffee today, I realized I had once again drained the contents of my White Chocolate Mocha flavored creamer. What I didn’t realize before today was the pure amount of calories, accumulated over time, that this creamer actually had. Upon that realization, I started wondering if it was the creamer causing excess pop to my rear section and not a previous investigation about a new type of undergarment I recently investigated. (add link here)
Upon looking at the nutrition information, I realized I had been consuming 35 calories per 1 Tablespoon of creamer. I was going through an average of one huge bottle of creamer every week. At about 64 servings per bottle, that means I was adding about 2240 calories excessively to my diet!
This sparked some extra research. According to an article at fatsecret.com, using powdered creamer is about half the amount of calories as the liquid creamer. Yet, the serving size is actually only 1 teaspoon. With 64 servings, you will ultimately cut out more than half of the calories out of your favorite refreshment!
Since there is 3500 calories in a pound, if you did absolutely nothing to use up those excess calories, that means you could potentially be adding one extra pound to your waist every week and a half. That could add up to almost a full 35 pounds of weight gain by the end of the year! Scary - isn’t it?
Creamer.... my favorite part of the coffee!

What should you do???

Now I am contemplating whether or not I should give up my coffee creamer and suffer with just black coffee. Yet, I don’t care particularly for the bitter taste coffee actually has. I really do enjoy my coffee creamer. It is the luxury of the morning that wakes me up after staying up way to late at night.
  • Option One: Give up Coffee all together! Yes - I said it! Give up that coffee. Don’t drink it at all. If you don’t drink the coffee you will not be tempted by the creamer. Then again… you will probably wake up grumpy, cause we all know, the best part of waking up, is Foldgers in you cup!
  • Option Two: Switch creamers. Liquid creamer has an average of about 35 calories; powdered creamers have about 15 calories. You do the math. While there may be variance depending on the brand and flavor, it is still overwhelmingly true that powdered creamers have less calories and will not add as much to your bottom line. But, if you are a true fan of liquid creamer, are you willing to sacrifice?
  • Option Three: Don’t worry about the calories, find an alternative to burn off those excessive calories instead. Assume that you only want to worry about the extra calories introduced to your diet by putting creamer in your coffee, and assuming that you drink about 2 cups of coffee a day with the suggested serving amount, as an average weighted person, you would need to do about 10 minutes of jumping jacks daily to counteract the effects of the liquid coffee creamer (half of that if you used powder!) that you used for your daily two cups of coffee!

So now that you know all the gory details, what are you going to do about it? I know I am not overly excited about doing about 10 minutes of jumping jacks a day, but then again, I am not so sure I am willing to give up my morning coffee either!
