Gourmet Coffee Blends Are Delicious And Interesting!

Gourmet coffee blends are not only delicious, but also a wonderful way to try different roasts of coffee! Blending coffee can be a culinary adventure of experiencing different aromas and flavors to delight the senses. They are perfect for entertaining, drinking after dinner, or in the morning. They also make great gift ideas for anyone who appreciates coffee!

One of the most popular blends of coffee, that probably almost everyone has heard of, is the After Dinner blend. This blend of coffee is an old tradition started long ago. The idea of an After Dinner blend is the hostess of the dinner party serves it with dessert or after everyone has stuffed themselves after enjoying a delicious gourmet meal. This blend is perfect for accompanying sweet offerings such as chocolate mousse, Tiramisu or even a slice of cherry pie. Many gourmet After Dinner blends tend to be intense, to give that pop of wow as the final to do at a dinner party. Many of these blends are also French Roast inspired and typically taste smooth, dark, and delicious.

Another very popular blend on the radar these days is Cafe blend. Cafe blends are made to be sipped on and enjoyed leisurely for people who truly love to experience a cup of coffee. Envision a stroll on a Venice boardwalk or relaxing at a Paris Cafe, and you have the vision a Cafe blend is going for. Typically these blends of coffee are combinations of Central and South American coffees that have amazing depth, wonderful aromas and bittersweet qualities on the palate. Something like dark chocolate notes with tart raspberry would be an example of a Cafe blend.

Morning blend is something any of us can appreciate who need a kick of caffeine in the morning to get going! Personally, I cannot imagine facing a work day without my daily dose of delicious coffee. Many Morning blends utilize beans from Brazil that are simple with a wonderfully light aroma. Typically a lively blend that is balanced perfectly and has notes of sweetness that are perfect for a morning cup of Joe! One of the best Morning blends I have tried is Timothy's Morning Blend Coffee, that is conveniently made for use with Keurig and single brew coffee pots as well as normal coffee pots.

There are so many blends available on the market today it is hard to keep up! Some of the other popular ones are French Roast, House Blend, and Italian Roasts.

Organic Coffee Benefits That Can Improve Your Health

Organic Coffee benefits are the advantages you gain from drinking coffee grown organically without any chemical induction during the growing process. Coffee is one of the world's most taken beverages because of its knack to get you alert, feeling fresh and leaves you with a good mood for the day. However coffee has more to offer besides the known caffeine benefits; it can actually improve your health if it's grown the organic way as opposed to the conventional farming where lots of chemicals are used.

One of the vivid organic coffee benefits is the chemical free consumption of the end products. Organic coffee is grown without the addition of insecticides and herbicides to control weeds and pests. This will result in an end product that is fresh and untainted by any chemical additives. According to health experts, chemicals used in conventional growing of coffee often seep into the plant and are contained in the coffee beans during harvesting, washing, drying, roasting and eventually brewing. Ingestion of the chemicals result in them being deposited on the fat cells of the body and may remain un-excreted for years.

More on organic coffee, consumption of such beverage gives you the guarantee that no toxins are lodged in the body which keeps your health in check. Coffee grown organically also has a more natural flavor to it compared to conventionally grown type. Chemical additives often drain out nutrients, meaning part of the rich flavor is lost when the berries are eventually picked. Unrefined coffee is rich in anti-oxidants, vital components that help you fight harmful body cells that trigger cancerous growths, prevent diabetes and reduce the aging process. So going organic with your coffee is a free insurance cover against diseases and aging.

Organic coffee has also been proven to contain magnesium and chromium minerals in large amounts, compared to conventionally grown coffee. These minerals, as part of the organic coffee benefits, help in regulating blood sugar levels in the body; so you have a good chance of preventing high or low blood pressure with a can of organic coffee tucked in your kitchen shelf. More coffee benefits are being discovered everyday with the latest discovery being that coffee is a prerequisite to weight loss. A cup of coffee is said to contain a minimum of 5 calories, and incorporating it into your diet plan helps reduce appetite while boosting energy usage.

Coffee has proven that coffee isn't all that harmful given the fears of caffeine by many people. The organic coffee are as simple as explained above; unrefined coffee has no chemicals so it won't leave any toxins in your body, it contains anti-oxidants which help fight and prevent diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure.

Moreover, untreated coffee bring other organic coffee benefits like the reduction of weight due to its ability to reduce appetite and helping the body burn more calories.

What Is K Cup Coffee?

There has been quite a buzz about K cups in the past couple of years. If you are not familiar with them, the K cup is something that is used in a coffee machine called a Keurig. The reason there is such a buzz about them is because the single serve type coffee machines have become one of the most popular ways to brew coffee in recent years.

So what exactly is a K cup and how does it work? A K cup is a small plastic cup with a foil covering on it. Inside of this cup is a premeasured amount of coffee as well as a small filter. This small cup is loaded into the Keurig coffee machine in its designated location. A lever is then used to close the machine for brewing. When the lever is closed, the foil on the top of the cup is punctured with a small hole that allows the hot water to flow in. At the same time, a small hole is punctured in the bottom of the plastic cup. This hole allows the brewed coffee to flow out of the K cup and into the coffee cup. When the brewing cycle is completed, the lever is simply raised back up and the K cup is removed to be discarded.

Why is there such a buzz about K cups? K cups are used in the single serve coffee brewer called a Keurig. This type of brewing has become very popular in recent years because it enables you to brew an individual cup of coffee easily and at any time of the day. The Keurig coffee machine warms up in approximately two minutes and, once the K cup is loaded and the size selected, it will brew a cup of coffee in 60 seconds. It is easy to operate and makes no mess. There is no measuring or cleaning up of coffee grounds. You simply need to purchase the machine, fill it with water, and select the K cups of your choice.

What kinds of coffees come in K cups? There are over 250 different kinds of beverages that come in the K cup pods. Coffees can be purchased in caffeinated and non-caffeinated versions. They come in varying strengths from light roasts all the way to extra bold roasts. There are many different brands and a wide variety of flavored coffees as well. K cups come in many different types of teas and hot chocolate beverages also.

Is it difficult to find and purchase K cups? The largest selection of K cups can be found on different internet sites. If you would rather go to a store to purchase your K cups, you can find them in many different stores. Stores like Bed, Bath & Beyond, Kohl's, Kroger, Walmart, Target, etc. carry a smaller selection than what you will find online but you can purchase these and use them the same day.

Single serve coffee makers are the newest and most popular way to brew coffee. This is why there is such a buzz about the K cups. By purchasing a machine like the Keurig that uses these K cups, you will have access to the largest selection of gourmet coffees, teas, and hot chocolates to enjoy any time of the day from the comfort of your own home.

The Amazing Benefits of Drinking Coffee

We all love our cup of coffee, but are you aware of some of the many other potential benefits it can bring to your life?

According to studies, coffee drinkers are happy at work, don't get depressed, have less stress, and suffer less from colon cancer, arthritis and diabetes. In addition it has been shown that coffee is safe to drink in pregnancy and is even healthier to drink than black tea.

Please note that these are the claims of research studies and are not meant to serve as medical advice.
While it is understood that consuming any product in large quantities is potentially harmful, research has shown that drinking five cups of coffee daily is not a problem to general health.

Harvard Medical School studies have shown that instances of skin cancer are reduced amongst coffee drinkers. The risk is reduced by about 20% in women and 10% in men if they consume more than three cups a day on average. It has also been independently shown that coffee can reduce the risk of liver cirrhosis, colon cancer and developing gallstones.

A popular TV news channel recently reported that consuming black coffee is a healthier alternative than black tea. According to an interview with Chris Kilham, founder of Medical Hunter in the US, coffee contains special antioxidants called flavonoids which can help with cardiovascular problems and help reduce heart attacks and strokes.

Fighting depression - A long term study by the Harvard School of Public Health found that women who consumed four or more cups of coffee a day were 20% less likely to suffer from depression than those that only had one cup per day. Those consuming less, but still having two or three cups still showed a 15% reduction in showing signs of depression. This extensive research was conducted over a decade of study.

It is now thought that drinking coffee before exercise can enhance ones performance. This is according to Dr Pamela Peeke of Discovery Health TV. She claims that drinking coffee can enhance the bodies performance in both short term and long term physical activity.

Drinking coffee when pregnant also seems to be safe for the mother and baby. According to Chris Kilham, again speaking on Fox News, drinking coffee does not appear to increase the chances of a miscarriage.
Who would have thought that something that tastes so satisfying could be good for you!!
